Hope everyone is having a great day.

For those who read the forum or are members, I wanted to update that “VWBug71” who was having activity and issues with his dog being afraid in certain areas of his house.  He updated me a little while ago that after having his house blessed, the activity has seemed to cease and his dog will go into parts of his house where the dog would not before!  This is fantastic news.

Good luck Mike and keep us updated if you have any experiences in the future!

Auras

Update on Albert Brown

There was another stay issued for Albert Brown today.  I have not heard of when or if he will be rescheduled for execution.  I plan to continue writing to Governor Schwartzenegger asking for clemency for Albert Brown.

The next execution scheduled in the US is October 6, 2010 for Michael Benge in Ohio.  I have wrote the governor of Ohio already and plan to continue to write to him.  Please click on his name in the list to the right if you would like to write and ask for his sentence to be commuted.

Rambling

I am having one of those blah mornings.  Work is going slow and I am just not focused at all.  I guess my mind is elsewhere.

I am watching a show called “Most Evil.”  It is a series that was created by the Discovery Channel a couple of years ago where they ivestigate serial killers and what caused them to do what they did.  There is a forensic psychiatrist, Dr. Michael Stone, who has created a scale with 22 levels .  Each level is a different level kind of killer.  He categorizes each serial killer on to which level of his scale they fall.  Level one being someone who killed in self-defense whereas level 22 is for psychopaths who inflict extreme torture on their victims and then murder them.

Maybe I am weird but serial killers have always intrigued me for some weird reason.  I guess it is the hang up I have with death.  I don’t accept death well.  Yes I know no one does but I think it bothers me more than it should especially when it is a stranger I don’t know but yet it really bothers me.

I think we become programmed at a very young age to become immune to the death of strangers or people who have no real impact on our lives.  This is mainly through the news.  When there is a story on the news about someone dying in a car accident or murder or what have you, most people say “that’s a shame” and that is it and will never think about it again.  Me on the other hand it will bother for  a long time.

I think why I am so intrigued with serial killers is because I cannot wrap my mind around how someone could take so many innocent people’s lives.  I don’t get that at all.

Maybe my I am weird or maybe my mind is just messed up!  Who knows!

Act Now!

On Thursday, September 30, 2010, the state of California is planning to execute AKA “legal murder” Albert Brown.  I ask that if you are interested in putting a plea (clemency) in for this man’s life, one of God’s creations, please write to the governor of California, Arnold Schwartzenegger by clicking on Albert Brown’s name on the right.  It will take you right  to the governor’s office contact page.  There you can email the governor asking for clemency.  If you really want to see this execution stopped, send more than one letter.  I send several emails a day to governors when an inmate is very close to their execution date.  The day of their execution I flood them with emails.  Last Thursday when Teresa Lewis was scheduled I emailed Governor McDonnell dozens of time.  They eventually took down the governor’s website until after the execution.  I found that so cowardly.  I sent them an email as soon as their website was back and told him how I felt.  I told him that his actions were cowardly and unprofessional.

I have to admit that last night’s execution of Brandon Rhode really tore me up.  More than usual.  Maybe because we are close in age or maybe it was his suicidal attempt last week to take his own life but the state saved him so they could kill him last night.

So back to the subject, please contact Governor Schwartzenegger if you wish to ask for clemency for Albert Brown.

Losing Track

I have been sitting here trying to remember what day it is.  That is bad!

I was dogging Twitter yesterday.  I take that back.  I have met some really nice people on there and people have been sharing their experiences with me on Twitter and through the forum.  Things are starting to move along.  Thank you to all my new followers and those who have shared with me!

For those interested in the anti-death penalty movement, I have added a list to the right of current prisoners who have or are currently facing execution.  For active executions, I am going to provide a link to the governor of that prisoner’s state if you are inclined to make a plea for clemency.  I will be working on that.

Please remember that I am not pushing my beliefs on anyone but making resources available to those who may have the same beliefs!

I Hope it Helps

Brandon Rhode was executed tonight. The process was started around 9:15pm and he was pronounced dead at 10:20pm. There were a couple delays tonight but in the end the state of Georgia got their wish.

I have read many comments tonight about Brandon Rhode. “Burn in hell!” “About time!” “Stop wasting the tax payers money!” “Put the next one in the hot seat!”

I wonder if people who say these things realize how barbaric and animalistic they sound when they scream those sorts of things? Not to mention how antiquated their mentality is.

There are third world countries who outlawed the death penalty. So that puts the United States right behind them.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion and I absolutely respect that. What I don’t respect or have patience for is ignorant people.

How much longer will states continue to play God? I was always told that God doesn’t make mistakes. Well if that is true, then why are we executing one of God’s creations? Try asking that question to someone posting “Fry him!” but then will write “God bless” at the end of their post. They will look at you like you are from Mars.

My heart breaks for the Moss family (victims’ family) but my heart is also breaking for the Rhode family.  There is a mother in Georgia mourning the death of her son.  The son who was once a baby, child, teen.  I ask those praising his execution how do you think his mother feels right now?

Why is the answer to painful situation which Brandon created more pain?  He is not in pain now but his family is so who are we punishing here?  Brandon or his family?

Update on Brandon Rhode

If anyone is interested, the last minute stay Brandon Rhode’s attorney was attempting to get to save his life was denied by Georgia’s Supreme Court. Now only Governor Perdue can save his life. The execution is scheduled for 7pm.

A little more information about this execution…
He was scheduled to be executed on Tuesday the 21st but he cut his own throat and wrists just hours before his execution. He was near death and they saved his life. They stayed his execution twice after that. The medical staff saved his life so that the state can take it? That makes no sense to me. Why did they not just let him die? Because the state wants to be able to take responsibility for his death. Sorry folks but that is just odd. His crime was horrible and no one is asking for his crime to be forgiven. Just asking for his life to be spared.

Rainy Days and Mondays

Yes it is raining and well it is Monday. Wow I am original!

Something is baffling me.   TWITTER!!!  I don’t get it.  I thought the purpose of  Twitter was to connect with people.  I have added close to 600 people on there and only just about 100 of those people have returned the favor.   What’s up with that?  Some act you should come with a letter of recommendation or something!  Lighten up people and follow people!!!

Another thing and this is totally off topic, I am a supporter of the movement to abolish the death penalty for prisoners.  You can visit www.ncadp.org to get more information on the movement. I understand everyone has their own opinion. If you believe it is wrong to execute offenders, read on. There is an execution scheduled at 7pm in Georgia for a 31 year old man, Brandon Rhode. All I am asking is if you would like to make a plea to have the governor grant clemency, please visit the Georgia’s Governor Website and write Governor Perdue an email asking for clemency for Brandon Rhode. You can email the governor at http://www.georgia.gov/00/gov/contact_us/. There is only a couple hours left before the scheduled execution; so, if you want to help, please do so as soon as possible!
